Tragedian- Epilogo - Limited Edition of 5 Print

Tragedian is a work made up of three images created with the aid of computer graphics. In particular, 3D modeling programs and subsequently rendering and photo-retouching software. The use of these programs allowed me to "play" with the characters that I usually insert in my physical works such as oil paintings and sculptures. In this theme I wanted to take as reference the much discussed work by Maurizio Cattelan which concerns a banana exhibited in a museum. We all know how much this gesture caused a sensation and above all how high the selling price of this simple banana was. The story I invented, with a surreal taste of course, is that three mannequins sneak into a museum at night to steal the famous banana. In the final scene of this triptych, two of these dummies celebrate the hit. One of them, represented in a pensive and sad pose (taken directly from Rodin's Thinker) does not seem at all happy about how the situation is going and perhaps he is not even very happy with what contemporary art has actually become. In the meantime, the accomplices of the pensive mannequin celebrate their success and play with money made, throwing them in the air and affixing them to the wall with nails instead of the banana, which lies abandoned on the ground.
