About The Artwork

This is a famous Chinese poem from ancient times. The author is unknown, and the poem is included in the Book of Songs. The following is the general meaning of the text. "The reeds become dark grey. The white dew turns into hoarfrost. The people I long for is in the water side. Against the water to find her, the road is danger and too long. Follow the water to find her, as if she in the center of water. (repeat three times, but slightly different) " This is such a simple but beautiful poem. I was deeply moved. Among the poem, "The people I long for" can be interpreted as anything. It could be any goal which we pursuit for. It looks close, but it's far away. It can be seen vaguely in the mist, but it is probably far away. The ambiguous atmosphere created in this poem was really beautiful. Since the Chinese character itself is a painting with its meaning, I used the ancient character of the word "whirl" which itself has very beautiful lines and artistic conception as the first picture of the triptych.

Shih-Min is undoubtedly a very special person, if you know her. In addition, her work is as impressive as her own. Anyone, without advanced art theory, can feel the freshness and fluidity of her works at first glance. Born in Taiwan, she creates her works both in Chinese culture and contemporary art style. After getting the Bachelor of Science, her exploration of the universe turned from science to art. "Art is also a way to interpret everything in the world.", she said.
