Picture taken the 16th of November 2016 in San Francisco. I'm back in SF which I almost visit yearly but never manage to go back on those peaks. This time I'm finishing my trip after San Diego, the week before I did attend a color imaging conference, made a chosen detour by LA, at this moment I'm trying to enjoy the view from above Noe Valley... I'm half way of my run and will soon go back down to the Mission. And at this time I still have no idea I will change my return ticket to Berlin from LA and not SF, will rent a car, go back to Boyle Height following road 1 and later that week discover Joshua Tree desert.

Jérémie Gerhardt has been practicing photography since his youth. While experimenting with panorama pictures and virtual reality he searches ways to save a field of vision, to fix the memory of a space surrounding the photographer. A usual way of visualising 360° panorama is to project the image on a curved screen to reproduce the conditions in which the image was taken or to use a virtual reality headset. Using open source programming tools a treatment is applied to those panorama pictures, which allows viewers to experience a full multi-directional panorama while looking in only one direction, as if one was using a spyglass to observe the scene from space
