ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Yellow Space began as an experiment using watercolor washes and limited color choice to produce a balanced, color saturated composition. Each stage of the process was the product of chance. The sprayed and stenciled color circles added spatial depth. Each addition required yet another to balance the composition and provide visual movement. At last, the composition was surprisingly resolved after the addition of the deep indigo brushed gestures.
