"A Kiss to Build a Dream on" My intention for the viewers is to feel the process of creation, which was transitioning and exhilarating through spontaneous motions of paints. It's like life itself, sometimes fast, hypnotic, passionate and crazy, sometimes slow, calm and peaceful, with the rhythm there is a certain balance and energy. This painting is special because it evokes the simple things in life that awake emotions. The game of colours, shapes and textures make this painting a representation of a dream, which is powerful, hypnotic and idealistic, but that push us to keep forward. It is an essay in colour; a perfect example of the ability to variegate texture, timbre, tone and hue in order to create painting of stunning quality and astounding complexity. Blurred in dreamlike abstraction, across the entirety of its composition, I conflate surface, depth, distance and proximity, materiality and illusion. Peppered with half-reminded details of a place once visited, a vibrant red and blue interior scene is subdivided by punctuating details such as the window at right showing a warm and calm summer night sky with tree in shadow and plant near the window. Valeria is sending a kiss, calm and superb, intense and elegant. The artwork has a strong hypnotic effect that I cherish and I have personally been lost looking at it for hours. It is impressive at distance and closely. I think it could take years to fully notice all the details into it and for me, it is what makes it a precious addition to an interior design. The artwork took 3 years to be achieved. It has been an abstract painting done with acrylic on canvas mounted on wood frame. I have added black ink to contrast the colours. Then I saw the portrait of Valeria appearing suddenly and I have painted it with oil painting. I have signed using oil pastel stick. I have varnished it with 2 layers of archival removable matte varnish. This artwork should be framed. It's composition will make it look even more impressive then. I would recommend gold gilded frame. For the pictures, I have taken the artwork outside, along the wall of the house, in shadow, during a sunny day and the pictures that you see are the colors taken by the camera, without any modifications. I will build a wood box to send it, wrapped with bubble plastic sheet.
