About The Artwork
Many years ago I went to France and I fell in love with her rich architectural heritage. Like a long forgotten lover, the town of Saint-Emilion made a enduring impression on me that after over a decade I painted her romanesque buildings and cobbled alleys, from memory. To capture the feeling of moment and spontaneity i choose acrylic to give the artwork a sense of adventure. As for style it is a mixture of realism and impressionism. This painting is for anyone who dreams of distant adventures or perhaps just remembering an old rendezvous. Painted on Pre Stretched cotton canvas.
