About The Artwork

This painting embodies what Central Park means to me. This landscaping masterpiece is filled with color, life, and the sound of music. The vibrant colors were chosen to express the richness of the area and every line is raised to resemble the layers and textures this historical place has to offer.

Somewhere between the form of sculpting and the flow of painting exists a realm where Brian's creations come to life. To call them merely paintings would be an inaccurate assessment from the senses. Standing before Brian's work, one does not only look with the eyes, but also touches with the fingers and feels with the soul. From the age of five, vivid dreams and subtle emotions fueled the call for this self-taught artist to create textured beauty on the walls of his childhood home in Michigan. Stricken with serious illness in his late teens, Brian coped with his pain by focusing on his craft. This included experimenting with dimensions by adding raised mediums to flat surfaces. A successful recovery, regained strength and a thirst for experience brought Brian to New York City in his twenties, where the vibrant energy of this sleepless city propelled him to further develop his unique technique of textured acrylics on canvas, a process which allows you to feel the work. "Don't choose the art, allow the art to choose you". Brian lives by this statement and urges you to do the same. With his talent he has been able to contribute to various charities and fundraisers and firmly believes in giving back in order to help others in need. He is very humbled and proud to be able to help others by creating art each and every day of his life.
