A joyful feeling to this textured, painting , starting with winter, with fresh snow,on the ground, the trees have not started to grow any leaves yet , which is exposing wonderful textures in the bark of the trees. further into the scene, it is spring, a carpet of blue bells are resting under shadows of the trees, under, bright early morning sunshine . A robin singing in the change of winter to spring, a scene of hope for a peaceful year to come. This painting is textured and layered overtime with a palette knife and brush and is painted around the sides so it can be hung without a frame. She then takes away or adds more paint over these marks when dry, as the scene starts to take shape. This gives her work a textual and realist look and feel, so the viewer can be lost momentarily within the scene.
