About The Artwork
The inspiration behind this work is the subject matter of the work itself, homeless children trying to keep warm at night. I hope this work will make people viewing it think twice about the very thin line between being born with a silver spoon or into poverty. Nobody chooses to be born poor or rich...there in lives the thin line between being a viewer of the art and being the subject matter of the art. I chose the medium as I am new to canvas and to painting and I am hoping to grow in experience and technique in this medium.
