I have a strong passion in drawing and painting since I was a child. First it was just a hobby but during high school years, her passion for painting became more serious. Shahrzad was always busy with drawing caricatures from her friends and teachers. Her first painting teacher was her mother. Although she achieved MSc. Communication Engineering, I started studying Art and Graphic Design in 2002. In 2007 I got my MA Children's Book Illustration from University of Central Lancashire, UK. I was accepted to study PhD in Children's Book Illustration in 2007 but because of the maternity leave and moving to Canada, I stopped my course in 2009. Since that time I am practicing and teaching painting in my home studio in Mississauga, Canada.
