About The Artwork
The country of Zambia appeared in 1964 - before that it was subject to Great Britain and was called Northern Rhodesia. Zambia is the first African country to make banknotes not from paper, but from plastic. A very popular place among tourists visiting Zambia is the village of artisans Mukuni. The local natives are renowned for their skillful wood carvings. In the Lozi language, widespread in Zambia, there are more than forty words, translated as “woman”. In Zambia, the main type of vegetation is tall grass savannas (up to 3 meters) and miombo - a thin, dry and light tropical forest. The trees are scattered at a considerable distance from each other, there are many vines and bushes in the undergrowth.

I was born in 1942 and started painting at the age of 71. I had too much free time and I started to get bored. The grandson presented brushes, paints and canvas, he said to just listen to my soul and create. I love bright colors and good stories, making sure I not lose my taste for life with age. All purely handmade paintings are drawn in one single exemplar. I painted my pictures in the mountains at an altitude of over 2000 meters. They are filled with positive energy, because I enjoy every single day.
