About The Artwork
An African Rhino Pop art style in grays, beige's, and pastels. "I spent some time in the bush-veld on safari. Returning home, I was inspired by the colors of the Etosha desert in Namibia where it had recently rained. I wanted to transfer these colors onto the canvas, as well as the numerous wildlife/game we had seen." The symbols in the background are African in origin from various tribes. They all represent something positive—as such they bring positive energy into the hanging space.

Whilst maintaining her ironic humor she has painted a number of other series of works, including ‘Wild Life’ ‘Zulu Lulu’ and 'Going to the Dogs series. A recurring theme in her work is a play on words and the use of popular jargon. Her quirky, humorous, yet profoundly insightful art, allows the viewer not only to laugh at themselves but to examine many of the absurd aspects of life.
