About The Artwork
I've always been drawn to the American River and particularly the south fork. From the high mountain sources around Tahoe to Folsom lake, the south fork American River cuts through some of the most incredible landscape in area. This painting was completed in studio from a reference photo taken near the junction of highway 50 and Ice House Road. I loved how the morning light cut across the trees and stream...bouncing across the rocks and water.
