About The Artwork
An ensemble of 4 ceramic tiles, hand painted with modern interpretations of ancient Romanian and international symbols of luck, abundance and protection. One is the traditional rooster that calls a new day, a new beginning and even a new life, a symbol of light carrying its victory upon darkness. Then, there is the Tree of Life, full of all gifts and fruits, that symbolises also the connection between earth and skies. The next one is an ancient heathen symbol of the two linked fish, another symbol of Christian faith, fertility and good fortune. Thelast one is The Serpent, symbol of knowledge, good fortune and good health. It protects the house, and its customery in Romanian popular tradition that each house has a protecting snake. The ensemble can be inserted in any interior decoration or can be framed to make a wall decoration. Water-resistant colors. The tiles can be rearranged as desired.

I am a Romanian actor and painter. I paint mostly on black glasses, and on glass and other media secondly. I created my own work techniques and a new concept, the "jewellery-glasses" - miniature paintings on glasses, often embellished with 22 karat gold and or Swarovski crystals, diamonds and other precious and semiprecious stones. My works are, of course, unique, entirely handmade and are as much collectible pieces as they are perfectly fit for exquisite gifts. The themes I work with are extremely diverse - some are very sophisticated and elegant, and some are entirely playful, and they all tell a story.
