About The Artwork
This is a painting that brings light to the room where it is placed. It is made with three hues of blue (ultramarine, cerulian and prussian blue), a purple hue, and white. It shows the sea as we see it when we travel by boat, with gusts of wind raising waves and foam. The blue part is made with acrylic color. The purple is oil paint, and the white on the right side as well; these were painted after the image of the wave was completed. They are painted in a thin even layer in contrast to the main body of the painting. This gives the aetherial sense of the image. 'Ascending wave' belongs to the series 'Humanize-the-Code' which is being presented at Big Screen Plaza in the summer of 2022. See details on my website: https://atelierkapnos.com/
