Carol J Elsip is a versatile representational and abstract artist whose work features in many private and corporate collections around the world. Born in 1967, she earned her BA Hons in Fine Art from Leeds University, and began her creative career specialising in oil painting. "My basic inspiration comes from landscape, nature, and the human condition. Ultimately, my artistic intention is to connect with and express the spiritual essence of underlying creative forces and the eternally evolving nature of life itself." In the studio, landscape imagery becomes metaphor and mirror for the human psyche as C J Elsip's paintings develop into more abstract and surreal imaginative visions. Her paintings progress through successive layers of paint while light, color and form are carefully orchestrated to create stunning dynamic tensions while evoking a strong sense of the mystical.
