About The Artwork
This painting of a harp seal pup is inspired by a recent (symbolic) adoption I made of one through the National Wildlife Federation. Harp seals also known as saddle back seals are native to certain areas of the Arctic Ocean and mainly inhabit the the northernmost Atlantic Ocean. Due to icecap shrinkages their habitat is threatened. I hope this painting of a baby seal inspires you to learn more about their survival.
