ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My Banana plant and its amazing unraveling leaves. I really enjoy watching the development of my plants. Forever amazed by their beauty. This image was created looking down onto the ‘Tree’. The light coming through my window blinds added to the slight abstract, calming feel. The under paint is acrylic, then oil on top. I have not made this painting available to buy yet as I have still not varnished it. A gallery wrapped canvas, I have left the edges unpainted. No hanging hardware, and unframed.

Originally from Barnstaple, North Devon. I’ve lived in Somerset since the age of four. I now live in a large village called Street, it’s about two miles from Glastonbury. A truly beautiful part of the Uk, surrounded by unique landscapes and plenty of nature. These are the two things that greatly inspire me. I love colour and patterns, which is probably why I made the mistake of choosing textiles whilst at college, rather than Fine Art! So I guess you would call me a self-taught painter. But painting is all I’ve ever done.
