About The Artwork

This painting is part of my solo show The Surface, an investigation into the surface of water and the many different ways you can represent the reflections and refractions, the focus and the feel of water. This painting was inspired by the waters of Western Puerto Rico and the warm feeling of the tropics. I am not from PR, I am from New England, I remember the first time I came to the Caribbean as an adult- it was a game changer for me. I love feeling the warm sun on my skin and beautiful bright colors in my mind. Featured in this painting is a tiny little bee referencing my years at SCAD, whose mascot is the bees. This painting was finished in April of 2016 and is on display in Rincon, Puerto Rico.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008 and after working in Advertising and Graphic Design for a few years I couldn't help but feel a desire to create works of art for myself and for others rather than design for major companies. After moving to Puerto Rico in 2010 I began painting more and decided to pursue fine art full time. I experimented and studied for a few years and worked very hard to develop my style. I primarily enjoy painting two things- women and water. I am still figuring out where these two subject matters will take me both together and individually. I enjoy working with many materials including oil paint, acrylic, watercolors and watercolor
