Eda Ozlem Sipahioglu Diler was born in 1981 in Bolu, an ancient city in the mountains of Northern Turkey. She got into art at a very early when Eda and her sister would spend their free time in a small studio at their home. She pursued this passion by studying at the Bolu Anatolian School of Fine Art before going on to gain a degree in Fine Art and Teaching from Marmara University in 2003. She then went on to teach art at private schools for 12 years at Kultur 2000 Collage and Turkish Education Foundation Inanc Turkes high school for gifted students where she managed the international baccalaureate visual arts diploma programme. In 2010 Eda continued her studying by completing a master's degree in art management from Kultur University. In 2015 she decided to stop teaching to concentrate on her own works and moved to the UK with her family, settling in Peterborough. Eda has a real passion for art and during her life has made a study of visual arts, in particular the influence of Western culture on Turkey. Throughout her career Eda has had her work shown at various exhibitions and taken part in numerous volunteer art projects. She is able to work using many different techniques including sculpture, mosaic, acrylic and oil paint but particularly enjoys creating drawings of historical buildings, streets, and landscapes with ink pen, water color, and oil paint.
