About The Artwork
The inspiration came from a old family photo. Setting around 1950. And many of these blacksmiths exist today. These scenes have been used by artists over the centuries depicting concentration seen in their faces with conflicting light , heat and movement. Due to the need for sensitive surface changes in light this work is protected with both natural and commercial UV oils. The piece is painted on all sides.
