I am Ayesha Saleem from Karachi, currently pursuing my bachelors in English Linguistics. Despite pursuing a field in contrast to art, I could not abandon the connection I had with my collection of brushes, paints and canvases. That collection I have been holding close to my heart since 2019 is too enticing. I don’t share in words what I share in my art. Art is my escape and a wonderful source of self-expression. I know people discover themselves through journaling, but I wish they knew what wonders art could do to them. Being an artist requires dedication and patience in a world of instant gratification. Those people who opine about art as simply a pastime don’t realise that art doesn’t come with a price tag. It is so priceless, given the heart and soul of the artist put into it, that no x amount of money can determine its worth. So to all the aspiring artists, do what you most love and forget about what the world has to say.
