About The Artwork
Acrylic on canvas, completed when 15 years old. This picture is a example of my young creative mind, it was before it's time and even though it's been years and I see flaws, I haven't touched it. The painting just captures all the things I like. Northern Alaskan nights, flowers of every beauty, divinity and bright colors. Mostly beauty in diversity, afros with tan skin. I didn't want to paint me, someone with Brown skin, loose curls and "baby face" features. I wanted her to be different because I tend to paint mostly darker skin tones. This is another collection to the world's afro centric art gallery.
