Blooms Among the Planes by David Heatwole Print

"Blooms among the planes" is the 2nd larger scale work of this style. It began with an idea many years ago in which I created three smaller works, a landscape with trees, a ballet dancer and an archer just as an experiment. These pieces just hung around in my online archive () and mind waiting for the inspiration to really dive into creating a series. As it usually happens the series tells me when and for how long to focus on it. I am really excited by what I am being led to create. This painting was created with Oils on canvas and features Tulips by a reflecting body of water with shimmering reflections of trees. There is one part of the water where all the planes of color seems to spiral together. This little feature ties this painting to my last series (that is still in production) of more realistic paintings with fractal style stained glass hint of portals (inspired by the late master painter Dennis Blalock. See ) Everyone who sees this painting, so it seems has been truly drawn to it, however my price may be to high for the market where I have exhibited the painting. It is my hope that this painting along will evoke a sense of mystery while teleporting the viewer into a place where shifting planes abound. What I mean by that is that I hope viewers will consider the idea that information is floating around us waiting to be discovered and like everything it is only held together by a mysterious substance or force that could very well come unglued allowing all molecule to move around the universe once again.
