About The Artwork
From a series of the local Pilgrims Way ridge. Whilst working on this in the studio, a thunderstorm broke loose and the powerful cracks of lightning strikes outside inspired me to work in a different, much more Expressionist manner. This was very challenging, as the palette is so bright and yet I wished to retain the space of the original subject. I enjoyed the graphic approach.
