Blue Print

With this large piece, I tried to paint the interplay of hidden and overt emotions during lockdown where person-to-person conversations were fleeting. Executed on canvas with a captivating fusion of acrylic paint, oil pastel, sand, and pencil, it showcases a whirlwind of large, violent brushstrokes that traverse the spectrum of confined emotions, inviting contemplation of both the seen and the concealed. From a distance, the canvas appears alive with an explosion of vivid blue hues that dance alongside whites, blacks, purples, and reds. The colors intersect in a cacophony of emotion, evoking an immediate sense of intensity and raw feeling. These brushstrokes, seemingly uncontrolled create a symphony of visual textures that mirror the complexity of life in isolation. Upon closer examination, hidden and overt abstract faces begin to emerge from the chaos. These faces, rendered with varying levels of detail, carry a palpable sense of urgency and depth. They manifest as fragmented elements within the larger composition, suggesting the intricate layers that shape each individual's emotional spectrum. The viewer is drawn into a delicate balance between the discernible and the obscure.
