About The Artwork

This blue and purple painting shows the naked figure of a young black woman—a sensual portrait made in expressionist style. ❝FOREVER A QUEEN❞ Being a queen at her inner core means wearing an invisible tiara daily. Even in despair, fighting injustice, and almost losing faith, the queen aligns her crown and steps forward. And no matter what social play she plays for others: a mom, a daughter, a wife, or a friend, or whom she appears in strangers' lives: too bright, too colorful, too willful, she does her everyday magic routine - fixes the hair, puts on a tiara and creates the kingdom to be worth of her ruling. ♥︎ JOIN ME on Instagram @annamiklashevich

Anna is an experienced Ukrainian artist based in Slovenia. Her paintings have been exhibited in Ukraine, Slovenia, the United States, and Switzerland. The painting ”Let Me Be Myself” became the cover of the book ”Sensual Faith” by Lyvonne Briggs. Her figurative works have been portraying women's dignity and role for a few years. While exploring this problem, Anna strengthened her will and determination to focus on the global theme of inequality and injustice, which gradually emerged in her recent works.
