This is a water color painting and the size is 22 inches x 30 inches (without frame and approximately 37 inches x 45 inches when matted and framed). The painting is done on a 300gsm/140lb water color paper. This is a representational impressionistic painting. A figurative composition of a mother and child. The mother and child seems to be bonding happily and freely. The painting is filled with accidentals and surprises resulting from the use of wet-in-wet technique applied. Colors have been allowed to blend and flow on their own, the paints working by itself. Afterwards the painting progressed more structured and consciously. There was careful creation of lighting evoking the feeling of warmth, passion and to capture the looks and feelings of happy mother bonding with her baby.
