Video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1yNe3UhuTw Title: "Boy with apple. Painting from the movie "The Grand Budapest Hotel 2014". 100% hand-painted by Ekaterina Ostanina (Frida Ostin). Year of creation: 2020, October Size: 80x60 cm, 31.5x23.6 inch The portrait "Boy with an Apple" plays a key role in the development of the plot in the film. According to him, this painting is a Renaissance masterpiece by a certain Johann Van Hoytl the Younger. Van Hoytl is actually invented by the author of the film, and the picture was written especially for the film by the famous English painter Michael Tailor. Posed for the portrait is a real boy, a young dancer Ed Munro. In an interview with The Week, the young Briton admitted to having changed about fifty different costumes. Among them - the corsage from the shoulder of Cate Blanchett, which the actress wore in the movie "Elizabeth I." By the way, the finger gesture from this picture was found in Dürer's "Self-portrait" in 1493. Portraits with apples in their hands are quite rare. The most famous is also the Renaissance, only this time Italian, Raphael "Portrait of a Young Man with an Apple" 1505. It was not easy to paint this work, almost the whole picture had to be painted with the thinnest brush, almost with a hair, recreating the picture piece by piece. There are a lot of details here: clothes with embroidery, lace, fur, folds, portrait, tiles, velvet, wood, rivets. But that's what makes it interesting! The size of this picture is larger than in the film, this is done on purpose. I wish people could see everything a little closer. It took a long time to work, about 25 long working days. The art is amazingly beautiful! Everyone immediately fell in love with this painting! Those amber-brown eyes! I hope you will appreciate this delicate work!

Since childhood, drawing has been my favorite pastime. I need art like air. For me, painting is a way to stop time. Silence. Real magic. Today we are oversaturated with visual information, the speed of our life has become inhuman. In the age of capitalism, consumerism, globalization, and endless noise, a person is lost in an existential search, forgetting that he is a creator. I contrast painting with an ever-running and changing world. Through my work, I try to convey my admiration for color, drawing inspiration from the diversity of nature. My paintings are always colorful and cheerful. I give my preference to the most graceful and noble materials - oil, watercolor, pastel. These materials are for me like the best sonorous orchestra, which helps me play the most beautiful symphony. Let these color paintings become a small door to the big magical world of your soul.
