About The Artwork

Derwent Pastel Pencil on A3 Pastel paper. Photo credited to Mr Trevor Cole "Abusha, a young boy of the Ari tribe living in Jinka in the Omo valley. I first saw him a few years back and had to stop my vehicle when I saw his cerulean eyes. Occasionally this happens through a genetic mutation. He certainly has good vision, hence it is unlikely that there are any other causes and his mother has a blue eye and a brown eye! " - Trevor Cole

Annies Lee, a self-taught realism artist from Malaysia, I grown up with the influence of neighbour who were artist and fashion designer, Like others in the country, chose to study Graphic design but not fine art for the purpose of "surviving" and put down the drawing pencil for more than 15 years. I picked up the pencil again during 2015 for release the tension from the restaurant business. My first painting was bought by a French customer and another painting also sold to an American lady during the restaurant business era. Now i'm a full time artist and do a lot of portrait drawings. Acrylic on canvas was the first medium i used and explored on pastel and colour pencil too. Other than painting, I like travel and photography too and they always inspired me in my artwork.
