About The Artwork
The "pseudo realistic" images created by throwing and scraping paint is a minimal way to let paint do the talking. As the artist, I simply channel my muse and see what she can accomplish, being sensitive to when the painting (which becomes something of a puzzle) has enough and before it has too much. While most painters use easels or work tables, I go straight to the floor for maximum effect. This painting incorporates intentional figures, something I rarely do, however, the female shape was so obvious, I thought I would match her up with a partner and a flame. Signed and dated on verso.
