Breathe Deep Print

This painting was first a picture a good friend of mine took. I was so moved by the image of the world in a gas mask that I placed it on top of a mirror and began to see more in what I could make of it. I think the image alone was strong enough to grab my focus, mixed with my ideas the painting came alive in the way that I saw it. We live in a toxic world and instead of evolving to breathe in the ideas of the universe we rather keep our own ideas of what life is and hope that it keeps our egos happy. I chose to do this piece because it called to me. However it makes you feel is exactly what its intentions are. I mostly used Acrylic but in all of my paintings I like to use gold or silver dust mixed into gel.
