This body of work consists of rice paper sculptures on canvas, painted with layers of gesso and acrylic colours. Landscapes that silently express my reflection on the year 2020 and human resilience. Inspired by nature, a vagabond mind, chasing rivers of thoughts here and there all day long: visible, invisible, shadows, shapes, fragility, tension, links and connections. Silent contemplations hoping to lead the viewer to an inner landscape. I believe rice paper and china clay best conveyed my idea of fragility and purity. I perceive art like alchemy an esoteric process that allows my direct investigation into nature and matter. It is a need that urges me to share my search of inner truths. I define myself as an eclectic artist using a variety of mediums, trying to re-create and to celebrate the beauty of the many forms and colours found in nature. Intrigued by this invisible web that connects us all. I try to portray the way I see the world, a focus on the multiple layers of reality. It is very difficult for me to talk about art. I can only say that effects me on a visceral level, simply a human instinct from within. I feel compelled to examine where I fit into all of this. Is it even possible to know that?
