The ethereal grace of brittle stars as they sway gently with the currents of the coral reef inspired this creation. These fascinating creatures, often overshadowed by more prominent reef inhabitants, deserve their moment in the spotlight. I employed a mixed media approach in this artwork, using acrylics to capture the play of light and shadow beneath the water's surface. The delicate, flowing movements of brittle stars are depicted through fine brushwork and soft blending. "Brittle Star Underwater" seeks to evoke a sense of wonder and appreciation for the often-overlooked beauty of the coral reef's inhabitants by shedding light on the mesmerizing dance of the brittle star and the squid.
