About The Artwork
This oil painting on a linen canvas was made in the artist's studio , using sketches and watercolor studies he made in the local bullrings. The artist is a great fan of 'Courses Camarguaises', a bloodless confrontation between man and bull in which the bull is the respected star. After a few years - usually between age 3 and 10 - 'of a sport career' the bull enjoys a quiet retirement in the fields of Camargue. The artist regularly goes to the local bullrings and makes sketches and watercolours which he then uses to make oil paintings such as this one. Framed as in the photo . Dimensions with the frame: 47x39x2 cm
