ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Bright, bold and colourful. This painting would certainly be a talking point. This is a heavy painting due to the amount of paint used. XL 36in x 48in The process used to create this painting and the outcome relies upon a variety of responses. From the fluidity of the paint and and how it moves and flows to the temperature in the studio and how rapidly the paint mix dries. The paintings are built up of many layers of paint each interacts in a slightly different way to another. The final outcome can never be totally controlled which means each piece is totally unique. This abstract painting was created using a variety of acrylic paints and mediums. Abstract painting on a gallery wrapped stretched cotton canvas. Would benefit from a frame but can be hung without. Signed on the back, can be initialed on the front if desired. For orders outside the UK all duty fees or addition taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

United Kingdom

UK-based Kris is an award-winning contemporary British painter and digital artist with an eclectic taste, and has for over thirty years been working on abstract and representational works. Pop and impressionist paintings gave way to vividly coloured and tactile abstract pieces as the art evolved throughout time. Her abstract art's simple motif was "colour it beautiful," which she used as a declaration of emerging from the depths of depression and into the radiant light. She also uses her collection of over 30,000 photographs to create digital paintings, graphics, and other projects on the computer. Enough to keep her occupied for some time to come.
These are then processed and produced as prints. Her artworks are held in collections in the UK, USA, Europe and Australia. Kris has won awards in both the UK and the USA. 2017 The Artist exhibition award
The Artist magazine annual competition in conjunction with Patchings gallery. The winners had a joint exhibition 2018 at Patchings gallery. Clairefontaine Award
