About The Artwork

We live here for 12 years. Trešnė tree - even older. When we got up, there was an orchard on the plot, the neighbors said - do not make our mistake, do not cut old trees. We did not cut. What a benefit it was, I can’t say. Little apples, a centimeter-sized plum, everything fell down, barely ripe. Meadow the fruit that fell from those acids quickly turned into moss. But in the spring, when it was blooming, the garden was heard by all the neighbors. There was a whole other matter with cherry. The tree has been solemnly drowning in berries since late May. For the first year, I didn't even buy imported cherries, I waited for my own to ripen, they ripened to blackness, and on the same night they were picked up by cakes. I couldn’t believe my eyes, their audacity was so awful. Hooliganism only increased. The cakes have been on duty at our cherries every year since March. Usually two factions flew in, and when the cherries were black, fights took place that magical night. In the morning, you found corpses of cherries on the battlefield. That story was repeated every year, we were left with a handful sweet berries if we had time to taste before the fight. I couldn’t stand those crap anymore. Friends suggested wrapping the trees in a net, but others said they once found a dead tangled bird in the net. Well can’t there be easier choices in life? We have opted out of the network. At the same time, we gave up cherries. This year, when we flew off the island, I only realized on the third day that something was wrong. There are no bumps. For the first time in 12 years. No chirping, no fights, nothing. Only the genus had arrived, ate one cherry, thanked and flew away. We already pick black sweet berries after climbing on the roof, but we do not reach higher. There would be balls at the top. But where are the balies? No berries will fall, no one needs them. What happened to the crabs, why not fly away. I look at the sky, I listen. Silence, only large balloons fly along the forest. Maybe the same weird feeling involves the value of having children grow upside down at home. They painted the walls, damaged the festive clothes, smashed the window, blew up the inflatable pool, cut each other’s hair. Grows up and no longer makes noise. She goes out quietly, comes quietly, sleeps at home longing for peace, no one smokes anymore, asks for pancakes or to read, to fall asleep, to blow up a rubbed elbow. Quiet day, a tree full of berries. But where are the caterpillars? What happened to them. I never thought I would miss them.
