About The Artwork

I was inspirited by the beautiful hot chili peppers that I got from local farmer's market. Can you imagine the journey a chili pepper went though before being purchased? I was very astonished how strong they are when I thought about it. I decided to paint it so that it reminds me about one's life journey. Still Life art holds very dear to my heart. Ever since I was a young child I was always drawn by those master works from 17th century. My first visit to local municipal art gallery was to see the the exhibition of Dutch Golden Age painting. What I learned from these chili peppers is beyond kitchen art or decorative art. They taught me life lessons. It is my wish that you feel the positive vibe when you see this painting. I would like to share the power of nature with you. Hope this painting bring you peace, happiness and positive energy. Liquid watercolor was the only medium that I used. I opt for the minimalist style to showcase the simplicity, beauty yet power of these chili peppers.

I am a self taught artist. Both photography and painting. I enjoy a variety of styles and medium. I love abstract, architectural, landscape and wildlife photography. I work as an architectural photographer. My wildlife photographs had been published on Take Ten Caledon magazine on 2015 Special Edition in tribute to 2015 Pam Am Games. Recently, I received semi-honorable for my abstract photography from Art Olympic Open Art Competition in Japan. In terms of painting, it was my honor to receive my first architectural sketch and Christmas Card design commission work from an architect from Barrie, Ontario in 2019. Ever since, I have been painting everyday. My painting is very a fusion of multiculturalism particularly indigenous art. Raised in the farm and lived in Mount Andes at younger age really shape and form my art and how I perceive the world. You will find my signature as T. Bird in some of the paintings. It was given by one of my native friend. That stands for Thunderbird. It is a supernatural bird that protects humans from evil spirits. I would like to share my personal world with you via artwork. Hope my artworks bring joy, peace and harmony to you.
