At the beginning of the 20th century, sugar producer Pavlo Kharytonenko commissioned the famous architect Oleksii Viktorovych Shchusev to design a church near the village of Natalivka, Kharkiv province, in a pine forest. The church was built in the Art Nouveau style. The bas-relief in this church, called "The Crucifixion of Christ," was made by the famous sculptor Serhii Tymofiiovych Konenkov. Medieval sculptures from the collection of Pavlo Kharytonenko's wife are mounted in the walls of the church.
