Eva Tretyakov is an American artist born in the USSR. Tretyakov started experimenting with abstraction while attending The Art Institute of New York in the late 2000s drawing her inspiration from music, the vibrancy of Manhattan and its charismatic residents. Early 2010s found Tretyakov exploring her move to San Francisco and motherhood through her eye-catching art. Tretyakov focuses on bold colors to impact the viewer with an almost spiritual experience. She has been influenced by the composition structures of Clifford Still, the sense of color of Gerard Richer and the fearlessness of Andy Warhol. Tretyakov’s energetic artworks have been displayed in galleries throughout the US. “My collection represents something that we don't see but rather experience in everyday life: emotions, feelings, actions, reactions. I am drawn to abstraction because of its ability to capture those matters on a canvas. When I begin to paint there is no destination, no boundaries, no judgment only passion and desire to create and to experiment with the mediums, colors, textures and layers. I am using a variety of tools and materials to create art. Each painting is like a spark of soul, representing the current mood, circumstances and music. Music plays an important role in my work, same as in my life in general, it just makes the creative process flow.”
