About The Artwork

This was inspired by a sit down conversation with my mother. This is a portrait of my mother. (I have others.) I liked the expression and the obvious character it showed in the drawing. I used pastels and created this some years ago. I had forgotten about it until recently when I was cleaning and organizing my studio. I didn't like the drawing at the time but know I can appreciate what is actually in my opinion very good. The style is interesting a sort of impression yet almost cartoonish. However you get a real sense of happiness almost mid laugh. You get a sense of what kind of person she might be. Kind, caring, fun loving, happy, enjoying life. I am constantly creating and have a ton of drawings and paintings. I list and sell in other venues as well. Please help me find homes for some of them.

Dear collectors, I am just a simple person living a simple life. Having lived in some beautiful places; nature is important to me. I currently resided in small little country home. A love for painting is my one true constant. One of the true joys in my life has been the time spent exploring my little world as an artist. I am almost forty-two now and continue to paint; having practiced for almost thirty years now. I am both self taught and trained as I have a bachelor's degree from a Framingham State College. I have always worked multiple jobs while still somehow creating and selling on almost a daily basis. I am so happy to say that many people all across the United States enjoy my artwork on their walls. For me my paintings are more then a pretty picture. No matter if I am doing a portrait or a landscape there is meaning and feeling behind each one. I explore character and the uniqueness of the subject at hand. I love the outdoors and have a deep respect for the natural world. As my family owns an old farm with woods and many wild animals make their home their.
