About The Artwork
I find a lot of inspiration in Boston Architecture. Dean Mitchell is an artist that inspires me. I like to interpret the city with small moments...ie the shadow cast by this awning. The lighting defines a place and time of day. I hope the viewer can feel the unique quality of this charming city. I chose gouache because it lends itself to the graphic quality I wanted for this piece.
