About The Artwork
It is a stylized cotton interior painting. For this painting I used quality oil paints and gold and silver acrylic paints, a pallet knife, and large variety of brushes. The painting is interesting for its voluminous expressive brushstrokes and suited to the modern interior, which is decorated in warm tones. The painting has a prize of the third degree (a bronze diploma) of the international online competition of applied and decorative arts, design and photography, “Michelangelo’s brush” in Italy, 2022. There is a comment of the jury of the competition: «The painting "Cotton" attracts attention with its original color palette. The artist painted white cotton blossoms on a background of gray and yellow vertical strokes, forming an abstract composition. Gray is associated with stability and cold calmness, while yellow is a warming sunny hue. The painting gives rise to a feeling of confidence, energy and hope.». Oil, acrylic on canvas. Size: 100W/ 80H/ 2D sm. The painting is unframed, titled on the back and signed by me as the artist on the front.

I come from a family of lawyers. My grandfather had a talent for painting, and so did my parents. I have been painting since I was a little girl. Though I am a lawyer now, I have decided to fulfill myself in art as well. While painting I take my mind off pressing matters and work issues. I am still looking for my self-expression and trying to work in different styles and themes. I like to use color and voluminous expressive brushstrokes. I believe, if a painting arouses your emotions – it becomes a piece of art. Whereas I have been only painting for myself and my family until recently, the encouragement of my loved ones and fellow-artists has motivated me to go public. Nowadays everybody has an opportunity to exhibit their paintings to the world. Unfortunately, my relatives did not. But I would like to exhibit my works. Through my works I want to say to everybody, that regardless how serious your job is, and how important the decisions you make, you can be free in all respects. You can show your inner world and convey your personality by your imaginative expressions. Try to have freedom in your mind. It is one of the most significant thing in life.
