About The Artwork

Rise of The Fall - By Cheryl Jenkins B.A (Hons), MioEE This oil painting is my representation of the amazing crane. Many cultures use the placement of certain animal imagery to inspire desired attributes in specific situations. The idea is that the image creates a vibrational energy similar to that of the living form, either by association or connection to the qualities by the higher self, which is more connected to the animal kingdom and earth energies as a whole. Birds in general inspire new opportunities, and good luck, but the crane goes one further by also encompassing the attribute of longevity. In the art off Feng Shui it is recognised as a bringer of focus and order. This particular depiction shows the sun at the cranes back, the fire element would also supporting the fame area in the southern sector of your home or business. This majestic bird brings good fortune to any business. This particular image depicts the crane with the sun at its back, the fire element supporting fame and social recognition. Placed in the 'Southern' area, the crane will bring the energy of new opportunities, longevity and good fortune to any home or business. In the traditions of some Native American tribes, the crane is associated with good luck, peacemaking, leadership and speaking skills. This oil painting is my representation of the amazing crane. As with most of my animal art, I prefer the feeling of painting, the energy of a subject rather than a representational setting. I had the feeling of ‘rising from the ashes’ with this painting in a very Phoenix like way. There’s a power and strength in her little wings, small is not always feeble! Birds are great inspirers of new opportunities, coming to you to prepare for a transition even when general conditions are unfavourable. Perhaps you’ve been so grounded as to forget your dreams, Spirit Birds elevate your consciousness and provide you with self-confidence. Bird spirit is the perfect symbol for freedom and perspective. Because they fly high into the sky, Light workers often tell us that they are messengers of the Gods who provide humans with a bridge between the mundane and spiritual life. 'Follow your Intuition' Art has always been a part of my life. My artwork is purely intuitive, very in the moment, and as such, embraces many techniques and mediums. I have grown as an artist over the years to embrace my diversity, and appreciate the powerful insights that have arrived through my work. In 2003 I was introduced to a gifted spiritual medium who encouraged me to sit in a spiritual circle. This then progressed to my being invited into a closed circle, in which I focused and developed my connection, and the art of psychic portraiture. It was during this period that I realised how useful it was to be able to sketch out the helpers I was encountering. I was asked to sit with other mediums who specifically wanted to have their guides portrayed in a way that they could share with others. It was a profound moment for me to be introduced to my spirit guide Lone Eagle, who has been with me my whole life with regards to my art. When considering my earlier work in retrospect, I realised that I had actually been practicing psychic art my whole life, and what’s more, I believe that any artist who lets their art flow is doing exactly the same. I love to depict animal guides and totems, as means of connection or inspiration, or try to visually show characters or scenes from meditations, dreams, all within the moment, and in whatever texture inspires me. After all, this is a time when your inner vision gets the chance to shine and come out to play! I feel blessed to have made a good living with my art since graduating from my fine art degree, and the opportunities to exhibit my work. I have created an online school 'Catching Visions' to help guide others to develop their intuition creatively. Through lifetime accessible courses and tutorials that include practical art projects, personal energy work, all with supporting videos, audios and take away pdf's. It's been a project of love, to help and connect with other like minds. Through all of my projects I honour the work and focus that has been involved in staying on my path, being in the moment, and where that will take me.
