About The Artwork

Inspired by: Behavioral psychology stemming from the things we want to the Internet, felt in business and marketing thinking, in our approach to people's behavioral analysis and behavioral manipulation. Concept: This artwork expresses humanity in today's society. Human beings are using the Internet to share their experiences and knowledge to develop civilization. We are building a database by accumulating and statistically analyzing human thought and behavior patterns to develop AI and predictive capabilities. Our sustenance is the behavioral data obtained from human life. I assume that the Internet is now positioned as a more familiar and dependable alternative to God. The definition of "religious gods" has a history of being convenient for humanity, and has prospered as a stronghold of the heart, a moral sharing, a hope, and a textbook for life. However, the Internet, with its convenience and availability, is a new form of deification that is manifesting itself in a more convenient way for modern humanity. Way to express: The tree is depicted with branches and roots growing and spreading. The ripples leading to the tips of the roots represent humanity, and the roots absorb experiences, thoughts, knowledge and actions from humanity. The ripples are expressed with shells and metal foil. The shells, which are made of organic and inorganic compounds, and the metal foil overlay meaning on the close relationship between humanity and machines in an evolving civilization. The spreading branches represent the Internet world that grows by feeding on the accumulation of human behavior data. The stagnation of growth in some places and the withering of the branches and the flying patterns in the space represent the way in which trees are weeded out of the growth stream and returned to their nourishment as the basis for further development. The large ripples spreading from the trunk depict such growth of the next world creation (or God's creation).

We are an artist group called kaleidoscope from Japan. With all the phenomena of this world we exist in. It is a combination of various factors that will never be the same again. We express the accumulation of such phenomena in our art. We invite you to look into our art through the artist group Kaleidoscope. Place of birth and childhood: Saki Kaneko: Born in Tokyo. Raised in Kanagawa. (Japan) Born with the condition called synesthesia that blends five senses, she expresses sound, light, taste, touch, and smell in color waves. She explored her synesthesia through calligraphy, piano, painting, and cooking since childhood. As part of the search into her senses, she went to Paris to study and encountered many different cultures and values that made her reconsider how she expressed herself. She is now based in Japan and continuing to grow as an artist. Kazuomi Kitagawa: Born in Kyoto. Raised in Tokyo. (Japan) Growing up comfortably in a wealthy household until adolescence, it was his every day to consider about nature, science, philosophy, the way of the universe, and life and death. However, when he turned seventeen while studying abroad in Hawaii, his family was forced to leave their house because of his stepfather disappearing and his parents getting conned. He started a company to promote Japanese traditional culture when he was twenty. He was forced to resign the company when he was twenty-six because his share was taken away. At the age of twenty-seven, “considering” became his habit again, and using what he found during “consideration” as a concept, he began his challenge in the world of art.
