About The Artwork
Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang. Signed on the front. This artwork is a 50 x 50 cm oil painting on stretched canvas. It does not come with an outer frame but it is ready to hang with a wire on its back. Using a photo taken on the location, this painting was done in the studio where I could explore more with the medium and colours. There is hardly any details on the blurry photo which forces me to focus on shapes and colours, capturing the light and my first impressions on this place. This painting is my attempt on capturing Sydney’s North Shore and the surrounding.

I started my art journey just over 20 years ago, starting in portrait drawings in charcoal and graphite. I have a graphic design and photography background. I have exhibited my photography works a number of times but I have only discovered my love for landscape paintings in the recent years. I love painting expressive landscapes with acrylic, oils and pastels. My main influence is the impressionists, including Claude Monet, Renoir, Camille Pissarro and Arthur Streeton. My goal is to capture the beauty of nature that people often take for granted. I never lack inspiration when there’s beauty all around us and above us.
