About The Artwork
It is a series of abstract works, with attention to the process itself. The images appear as simulacra of the flowers through slow and deliberate accumulations of semi-transparent color layers. Light permeates these layers and is present in the composition. The colour thins, blends and invisibly bonds each layer into a translucent shade. Acrylic paint, tempera and pencil on canvas. Varnished.
