About The Artwork
This painting is a delightful, colorful blend of oil and acrylic mediums. I have used gold acrylic to give it a royal sheen which is most prominent under dull lights. The painting is not fully smooth but has a bit of texture in it. The powerful circular strokes on the left side of the painting give a feel of movement to the painting which brings the figure alive in front of the viewers eyes. This painting is inspired by folk dancers in local festivals, who dance to the beat of local drums call "DHOL". I hope the viewers can feel the girl dancing and whirling to the drum beat! The painting is on stretched canvas mounted on a wood frame and can hang right out of box.
