About The Artwork
Around 2000 I did a number of paintings on the theme of fields left to weeds and long grass. Noticing a skull-like motif this work developed around the idea of nature's warnings and rural superstitions, so for example the Death's head Hawkmoth and hence the title and a slightly bloody palette.

I was a painter to begin. I started doing computer art in the late 70s, programmed at first but then evolving into a couple of strands of practice. Today the painting and the computer work interact sometimes, because of digital media I also retrieve and revisit old work when it merits it.
