Ilya Shkipin was born in Russia in 1989. Moved to USA in 2003 and currently resides in Bay Area. After studying in Art Academy University Ilya pursues career in fine art and illustration, using all sorts of media, including digital, oil, watercolor, graphite, mixed media, new media. Among his influences are Egon Schiele and Francis Bacon, David Hockney and Diebernkorn. Among the subjects, that he explores in the paintings works are morphing of the shapes, distortion of the spaces, uncomfortable intense intimacy and absurdity of the reality. Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Ilya graduated from the Academy of Art University with a B.A. in illustration in 2012. He has since exhibited his fine art portfolio locally and internationally. He lives and works with his family in Hayward.
